HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO THE BEST INTEPRETATION QUALITY?
A few days before your meeting:
• By sending programs, presentations and reference material to the interpreters so that they have time to prepare for the topics to be discussed. The Internet and email have become invaluable allies in this process!
• By checking that the spot chosen for setting up the interpretation booth ensures good visuals of the speaker (or speakers) and projection screens, in addition to any other support material, such as boards and flip charts. Ready access to the sound technicians is also essential for interpreters.
A few minutes before your meeting:
• By facilitating the sound check that sound technicians and interpreters should perform jointly to make all necessary adjustments to microphones, headphones and in-booth hardware.
